Scotland has the Northern Highlands, Central Lowlands, Valleys of the Tay, Forth, and Clyde rivers. Wales is largely mountainous with pastoral land. Northern Ireland consists mainly of low-lying plateaus and hills.

The overall climate in England is temperate maritime that means warm summers and cool winters. Summers are cooler than those on the continent, but the winters are milder. This means temperatures not much lower than 0ºC in winter and not much higher than 32ºC in summer.
